The next time you reboot, you will notice in the boot menu that the entry is gone. You can also remove other menu entries that you don’t really use. This will delete the corresponding menu entry. Below you can see two windows menu entries : When you install Linux onto a computer, the computer's default boot sequence is bypassed or overwritten to allow Linux's Grub/Grub2 bootloader to take control of your boot sequence and run a completely different system than the original bootloader.
